The various plan QA/QC tools are now consolidated under the Home ribbon. Those include checking for logic loops, finding out of sequence tasks, isolated non-milestone driven tasks, and identifying detached tasks.
When multiple tasks are being edited, a new checkbox status (intermediate) is introduced to indicate if the selection has items with different locations or different systems and devices. Previously the check box would be either checked or unchecked. The new status (solid fill) indicates that the selection includes mixed values or a single value.
Examples:
The layout below shows tasks tagged with the same Building tag, the same Floor tag (floor 1) and two different Zone tages: Zone A and Zone B.
When all tasks are selected, the task editor will show the common Floor tag and will blank out the Zone pull down and show the solid check box to indicate that the selection has multiple zones. You can now make a different floor assignment under the same building without impacting the Zones. If you change the building itself, the zones will be reset.
If you clear the selection, then select only Zone A tasks, the task editor will look like this. All Zone B tasks are on Floor 01 so it will be pre-selected under the location pull down but since there is no change, the check box will be unchecked. All the tasks are assigned to Zone B so Zone B will be pre-selected in the pull down but the checkbox will be unchecked. If you need to change something select from the pull downs and the checkbox will be checked automatically for the item you intend to modify.
The tasks below belong to two different Buildings.
If all tasks are selected, then the task editor will look like this which indicates that the selection has tasks that belong to multiple buildings, zones, and floors as shown with the solid check boxes.
